This fascinating exhibition, in partnership with the Angolan Cultural Foundation and with the support of the Heritage Lottery Fund, offers a unique perspective on a country and community through a dynamic presentation of never-seen before cultural artefacts, photographs and film-footage amassed in 1930s by Diana and Antoinette Powell Cotton during their travels in Angola. The exhibition curators worked closely with the UK's Angolan Community in making their selection from the museum's vast collection and the resulting display is rooted in the personal histories of the community to which the works on display belong.
